One of the most popular attractions of the town is rafting among the high rock walls of the Dunajec river. Szczawnica owes its popularization of its unique healing and tourist qualities to two outstanding figures, Józef Szalay and count Adam Stadnicki, former owners of the local land estates. The expositions presented at the Museum of the Health Resort tell visitors about their achievements and the history of the resort.
