Palenica chairlift

In the very center of Szczawnica, there is a cable car station, which runs to the peak of Palenica, at an altitude of 722 meters. The railway is open all year round. It serves both hikers and winter sports enthusiasts.

The lower railway station on one of the most popular peaks of the Pieniny is located just off the famous promenade in Szczawnica. Tourists in turn take a seat on four-seater chairs, which in a few minutes go to the summit of Palenica, where the magnificent view of the most beautiful corners of the Pieniny. Three Crowns and Sokolka, and in good weather you can see from here Tatras.

Palenica slopes in the winter season change into a ski resort. At the top of the hill there are catering and service points.
