The Water Pump Room in Szczawnica is located in the very center of the spa, at Dietla Square. It was built in the mid-nineteenth century in the Swiss style. Inside, you can try waters from Szczawnica springs and buy their bottled versions.
The Pump Room, formerly known as Dom nad Zdroje, was the heart of the spa in Szczawnica. It was created during Józef Szalay's ego project. It is a building decorated with external paintings and a carved gable characteristic of Swiss spa construction. Inside there is a stone-paved room with beautiful chandeliers.
Currently, the use of water in the pump room is paid. Patients and tourists can buy it in piles or packed in special sets. Szczawnickie waters are primarily Szczawa with various additional minerals. They are helpful in gastrointestinal diseases, allergies and anemia.
