Rogów is a small town that can be a great destination for a day trip from one of the cities of central Poland or a stopover on the route leading through these areas. One of the largest arboretums in Poland and the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum are located here.
The town does not stand out with its buildings or history. However, it offers a great place for walks and nature tours. Established in 1923, the Arboretum of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences has a wonderful collection of native and foreign plants. The complex also includes the Forest and Wood Museum.
The second attraction of Rogów are the objects related to the Narrow-Gauge Railway Rogów-Rawa-Biała. The route was built during the First World War for the supply of a military garrison, and nowadays historic trains run on tourist lines. In the Narrow-Gauge Railway Museum itself, you can see locomotives, wagons and track maintenance equipment used in the past, as well as station equipment and memorabilia of the regular railway line.
