The Central Museum of Textile Industry in Łódź is located in the Ludwik Geyer's White Factory and is the largest museum in Europe dedicated to textile industry. In 2013, the museum took the second place in the plebiscite for the "7 New Wonders of Poland" organized by the month periodical "National Geographic Traveler".
The building is one of the most beautiful monuments of industrial architecture in Poland. Exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries, when Łódź was the largest centre of textile industry in the country, are presented there. In the facility you can visit: former Ludwik Geyer's factory from years 1828-2002, reconstruction of the weaving mill from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, tools, and textile machines. Art workshops, film screenings, as well as museum lessons for children are organized in the facility.Less
