Rottach-Egern is a picturesque village in the Alps on Lake Legernsee. Its most characteristic building is the gothic shape of the church of St. Lawrence. The Wallberg mountain rises above the town and can be reached by cable car.

The village has traditional alpine architecture with houses with red roofs and wooden floors with flower balconies. The gothic church of St. Lawrence, the interior of which has been rebuilt in the Baroque style. There is also a dock for cruise ships sailing on Lake Legernsee.

The highlight of the Rottach-Egern is the Wallberg funicular, which takes you up the mountain of the same name. From here there are beautiful views of the lake and its surroundings. The lake offers many opportunities for active recreation. In addition to the rental of kayaks and pedalos, you can use the beach and a guarded swimming pool in summer.
