The first historical mention of the monastery dates back to 1392. It was built to take proper care of the relics of three holy hosts, consecrated by Popes Gregory I and Leo IX. Currently, the most valuable object of the complex is the Rococo monastery church with frescoes and stucco works by Johann Zimmermann (1680-1758).
