Oporów is a town known primarily for its well-preserved medieval castle. In the past, it was the property of the nobility, and the owners also founded a Pauline monastery here.

From the 14th century, the town was owned by the Oporowski family, whose representatives held high state and church offices. They built the Castle in Oporów, which is currently the biggest attraction of the town. Around it, there is a castle park in Oporów with numerous walking paths and fish ponds. Currently, there is a small museum in the castle, where you can learn about the history of the building.

At the end of the 15th century, the Oporowski family founded a Pauline monastery. Its central building is the Church of St. Martin with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque features.
