Pezinok is a town in the Little Carpathians with a long wine tradition. A lot of historic buildings, including the castle, have been preserved here.

The city was founded in the 13th century and more and more at the same time, the city's Pezinok Castle was built. It is now one of the most important monuments of the city. It is surrounded by the Pezinok Castle Park, made available for recreational purposes for residents and tourists.

Until the 19th century, gold and other non-ferrous metals were mined near Pezinok. A marked thematic trail with information boards leads to places related to mining. The city has also preserved historic buildings in the center with the Gothic House, the Palugyay Family Manor and other interesting tenement houses. There is a Museum of the Little Carpathians here, and in the Schaubmar Mill you can see an exhibition devoted to milling.
