The Vienna Ferris Wheel is one of the oldest queues of this type in the world. It was built at the end of the 19th century in honor of the golden jubilee of Emperor Franz Josef. It is located at the entrance to the Prater park and is the most popular attraction of the local amusement park.
Initially, the carousel had 30 gondolas, but after World War II it was renovated due to numerous damages and since then their number has decreased to 15. The diameter of the Ferris Wheel is over 60 meters, therefore an additional attraction is the panoramic view of Vienna .
An interesting fact is that the Vienna Ferris Wheel has been repeatedly used in Hollywood movies, including the iconic James Bond.
