The Lednice-Valtice composed landscape area (almost 300 km2) is located on the border between Moravia and Lower Austria. It has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among the local natural monuments were, among others: the "Lednickie Rybnik" National Nature Reserve and nature monuments - the Kutnar and Pastvisko lakes near Lednice.
The most important cultural monuments include Lednice and Valtice castles, Minaret in the Lednice castle park, Belvedere, artificial ruin in the romantic style of Janohrad, Obelisk near Lednice, chapel of St. Hubert and the colonnade on Rajstno.
Many hiking trails led through the Lednice-Valtice area. It neighbors the Pálava Biosphere Reserve. This is the largest area of this type in Europe. Already at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries there was a landscape park created by the Liechtenstein family.
