Velké Losiny is a spa town at the foot of the Czech Jeseníky Mountains. There are hot sulfur springs here, which are used in health baths and in the treatment of many types of diseases. There is also a Renaissance chateau in the village and one of the oldest Czech paper mills, now a museum of papermaking.

The hot springs in Velké Losiny have been used since the end of the 16th century, making them one of the oldest Czech spas. Today, there are two spa houses, a wellness hotel and a thermal aquapark located in a beautiful spa park.

A great attraction in Velké Losiny is the handmade paper factory founded in 1596 and still operating today. In the later, baroque building, there is also the Museum of Paper, presenting the tradition of making this product, paper machines and old and present uses of handmade paper.

On the outskirts of the village there is Velké Losiny Castle, one of the best-preserved mansions from this period in the Czech Republic. Currently, it is available to tourists who can see, among others a chapel covered with polychromes, a Knight's Hall with a coffered ceiling, Renaissance decorations of the castle rooms and antique furniture, including a 16th-century cupboard, one of the oldest in the Czech Republic.
