Uniejów is a city known primarily for its thermal baths and aquapark, which are located in the vicinity of the former Castle of the Archbishops of Gniezno, where the hotel currently operates.
During the Middle Ages, Uniejów was the summer residence of the archbishops of Gniezno, who built their castle here in the 14th century. It was rebuilt several times, but its gothic shape with a round defensive tower has been preserved. Currently, a hotel operates in the castle, but the courtyard and the ground floor can be visited with a guide. Around the castle there is a landscape park with walking paths. A memento of the relationship with the bishopric is also the baroque Church of Of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with baroque decor.
The Uniejów Thermal Baths are the biggest attraction. It is a thermal pool complex based on local hot springs. In addition, in summer, there is a city beach on the Warta River with a small water park.
