The castle in Gołuchów is a beautiful aristocratic residence, which is now the headquarters of a branch of the National Museum in Poznań, with an exhibition of antique interiors and works of art. Inside the historic building there are many valuable collections, presented in several halls: of antique vases, of antiquity, museum, and Polish hall.
In the first hall there are exhibits presenting antique ceramics, a bust of Izabella Czartoryska, a portrait of Jan Działyński, as well as a table from the 19th century, baroque altar sculptures, and a monumental renaissance fireplace. The second hall shows exhibits of ancient cultures. In the Museum Hall a fireplace from the 16th century is displayed and tapestries depicting the events of the Second Punic War. In the last hall there are old copies of royal portraits, documents, and photographs related to the pre-war museum.The castle was originally an early Renaissance building with defensive functions. It was not until the 17th century that the building was modernized to make it a aristocratic residence.
