The Animal Shelter in Gołuchów is located in a 20 hectare forest complex that is adjacent to the park. The most important animals presented in this area are bison. It is one of the few places in the west of Poland, where you can see the bison. Outside of them you can also find: Polish horses, fallow deer and wild boars.
Shown Animal Farm was established in 1977 as a result of the growth of the bison population. It was necessary to create new, dispersed breeding centers. By 2014, 107 bisons were bred here, of which 92 were born here. The surrounding wooded area is mixed with fresh mixed forest and fresh mixed forest, while the dominant species of trees are pine and oak.
The breeding of wild animals in the yard is related to the tradition of keeping animals in the vicinity of magnate residences.
