Szczytna is a small town at the foot of the Table Mountains, which can be a good starting point for hiking in these picturesque areas and visiting the area full of monuments. There is a neo-gothic Leśna Castle with a viewpoint.

The village was founded in the 14th century and was a craft center, and later also a glass manufacturing center. The local steel plant was closed only at the beginning of the 21st century and today no trace of it remains.

The biggest attraction of Szczytna is the Leśna Castle on the top of the Szczytnik hill. The castle was built in the first half of the 19th century by Leopold von Hochberg as a summer residence. It is a stone neo-gothic building erected in the manner of a medieval castle. After the Second World War, there was a social welfare home for many years. Only in 2020, the castle was made available to the public. It is also an excellent vantage point over the surrounding area.

Szczytna is located near the Stołowe Mountains National Park, in which there are such famous attractions as the Szczeliniec Wielki peak and Błędne Skały with rock labyrinths. Less known and no less beautiful places in the park include Skalne Grzyby and Radkowskie Skały and Pillars Skalne. The Torfowisko pod Zieleniecem nature reserve, located outside the park, has a different character, where you can see the area of the raised bog while walking on the footbridges located over the marshes.
