Marsaskala is a popular resort in the south of Malta. Its beaches are located in the bay of St. 2 km away Of Tomasz, while the town itself attracts tourists with numerous cafes, restaurants, a small fishing port and monuments from the Middle Ages.
The village was founded in the Middle Ages around the watchtower belonging to the Order of St. John. Today it is the most recognizable building in the city. The stone, massive tower houses restaurants and a great viewpoint on the coast. Among the streets filled with restaurants, bars and hotels you can also see the Gothic church of St. Anna and several chapels.
Most of Marsaskala's buildings are modern hotels and guesthouses. They surround a small bay resembling a fjord. Sailing, diving and sea kayaking are popular activities here. Lovers of relaxation on the beach have at their disposal a large sandy beaches in the Bay of St. Thomas.
