Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon is a strait between the islands of Comino and Cominotto, famous for its turquoise, extremely clean waters. This is one of Malta's biggest tourist attractions - the most-visited sea bathing place. The Blue Lagoon has a bright, sandy bottom and a wealth of marine flora and fauna, making it a great place for diving and snorkeling.

The Blue Lagoon can be reached with cruise ships from Malta and Gozo. On the beaches of the Blue Lagoon itself there is no specially developed tourist base, so a good option is to use the vessels that moor in the lagoon's waters, providing free access to bathing and the opportunity to observe the seabed through the glass bottom.

Comino is the smallest inhabited island of Malta - only one family lives here permanently, who deals with the service of the only hotel operating here. The total area of the island is less than 3 km2.
