Triton Fountain

A modernist fountain standing in the place where in the past there was a telescope covering the main entrance gate to Valetta. It was made in 1959 and depicts three Tritons supporting a bowl from which water flows down. The streams also flow out of the concrete, ornamented base on which Trytoni kneels. The whole leaves the impression as if the figures were in motion and spinning around the axis of the fountain.
