Tremezzina is a picturesque resort on Lake Como. It is known for its beautiful, 17th and 18th century buildings, which include, among others the famous Villa Carlotta is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden.
From the 17th century on, Tremezzina became a popular holiday destination for the elites of Milan and other northern Italian cities. Among all of them, the greatest attraction of Tremezzina stands out, surrounded by the gardens of Villa Carlotta. No less picturesque is Villa del Balbianello standing on the rugged shore of Lake Como, some distance from the town center. Its gardens, full of vines and shrubs, are much calmer and allow you to relax under the shade of trees.
