The Peace Arch is located in the Sempione Park near the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. This Arc de Triomphe was built in the 19th century by order of Napoleon Bonaparte. He was erected on the spot where the city wall was located and the gate leading to the road to Paris through the Alps.
During the Middle Ages, the Arch was moved north, closer to the city center. The arch is decorated with reliefs depicting the most important events from the history of Milan, sculptures and Corinthian columns. The building is 25 meters high and 24 meters wide, made of various materials such as marble, bronze and wood.
