Villa del Balbianello

The picturesque, historic residence was built in the 18th century in a romantic style. It stands at the end of the peninsula overlooking the lake Lago di Como. The residence is surrounded by extensive gardens with sculptures, colorful flower beds and pergolas.

As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that in the gardens surrounding the villa, scenes for such films as "Casino Royale" with James Bond and the second episode of "Star Wars" were filmed. In the latter, the Italian mansion was the planet of Naboo.
