Bad Endorf is a holiday and spa town in the Bavarian Alps. It is the local center of winter sports and a good base for active tourism.
The village is located close to the famous alpine lake Chiemsee in a mountainous, picturesque area that invites to excursions. There is a dense network of nearly 200 km of hiking and biking trails of varying difficulty, as well as the Pelham Rope Park. The nearby hot springs are used in a large thermal swimming pool.
In winter, the whole area turns into a cross-country skiing center. There is also a large training center for athletes, where they prepare for the start, among others participants of the Olympic Games.
Several historic churches with valuable polychromes have been preserved in the town and the surrounding villages. These include church of st. Andrew, the Church of the Assumption and the Church of St. Rupert.
