Teplice nad Metují is a small holiday resort in the Czech part of the Table Mountains. In the vicinity there is the famous Rock City, one of the most important landscape attractions of the Polish-Czech border.
As a tourist town, Teplice came into existence in the 18th century, when the nearby rock town began to arouse the interest of those arriving in this area. The first guesthouses were built then. To this day several 19th-century buildings built in the Swiss style have been preserved.
Currently, Teplice nad Metují is primarily guesthouses, agritourism farms and campsites. The town is teeming with life above all from spring to autumn, when you can freely walk on the nearby hiking trails.
The biggest attraction of the area are Teplickie Rocks. It is part of the Rock City, which extends to the town of Adrspach located several kilometers away.
