Zandvoort is a city on the North Sea and one of the most popular Dutch holiday resorts. It has wide sandy beaches and offers many leisure activities.
Thanks to its location, the city also attracts tourists for weekend trips from Amsterdam or Haarlem. Its biggest attraction is the sandy beach of Zandvoort, lined with hotels, restaurants and bars. In addition to sunbathing and sea bathing, popular forms of spending time are water sports, swimming on water scooters and windsurfing. The city is surrounded by pleasant walking areas, and the dense network of cycle paths invites you to go cycling.
On the outskirts of the city is the Circuit Park Zandvoort, which used to host Formula 1 racing. It is now used for lower-class races, but there are plans to modernize it and adapt it to the current requirements. It is open to the public. In turn, a few kilometers from Zandvoort is the famous bathing resort Bloemendaal aan Zee with a beach, nice dunes and moors, which can be explored by walking along the marked paths.
