Oceanium

The oceanarium that is part of the Rotterdam zoo and recognized as its biggest attraction. The building opened in 2001 has an underwater tunnel in which you can watch fish and other sea creatures swimming around. The oceanarium has recreated living conditions for plants and animals from various climate zones. Fish, crustaceans, water mammals and birds live here. Outside the building there is a paddock for seals and penguins connected to it.
