Karlsruhe or "king's shelter" is a city founded in the 18th century as the summer residence of the rulers of Baden. Despite the war damage, you can admire the Baroque castle modeled on the most famous palaces of France.

At the beginning of the 18th century, Karol III Wilhelm Badenski built a hunting palace in the area where today Karlsruhe is located, to which he escaped from his tedious duties. In the middle of the century, the magnificent late Baroque Karlsruhe Castle surrounded by the Castle Garden stood here. The central element of the castle was the castle tower, from which the axes and paths crossing not only the building, but also the surrounding green areas, creating a powerful star, began. Today, the castle houses the State Museum of Baden, and the park is a popular place for walks and recreation, which also has an attraction for children, the miniature train Karlsruhe.
