The central square of the city was designed in the 18th century during the reconstruction of the city after the war of succession in Palatinate in 1697. Its character is demonstrated by the preserved edifice of the market hall from 1745. In the center of the square there is a richly carved fountain - the work of Gabriel Grupello from 1711, which is an allegory of the triumph of virtues over sin.
