The largest baroque palace in Germany was built in the first half Eighteenth century on the initiative of Prince Eberhard Ludwik Wirtemberski (1676-1733), who in 1709 moved the capital of the principality to Ludwigsburg. His successors expanded the building in the Rococo and Empire style. Currently located here include China Museum and Fashion Museum.
