Ebersberg is a town situated in the picturesque hills in the foothills of the Alps. There is an observation tower erected at the beginning of the 20th century, as well as a small artificial lake under the protection of a nature reserve.

From the Middle Ages, Ebersberg was associated with the nearby Benedictine and then Jesuit monastery. Its oldest monument is the Church of St. Sebastian, which dates back to the 13th century. It is the so-called pilgrimage church, the interior of which was rebuilt in the 18th century in the Rococo style. There are historic tenement houses on the market square in Ebersberg, and the town hall is located in a former late-gothic inn that used to be part of a monastery.

The most important attractions are located on the outskirts of Ebersberg. It is an observation tower built in 1914. It is 35 m high and you can admire the panorama of the area and the Alps in good weather. The shallow, artificial Egglburger Lake with numerous walking routes is also located near the town. The Ebersberg Forest is also a popular excursion destination.
