Bergen is a holiday village at the foot of the Alps and a center of active tourism, both summer and winter. There are many hiking trails around, as well as cross-country skiing trails.
Hochfelln towers over the area with an altitude of 1675 m above sea level. The mountain is a good vantage point and also a starting point for hiking on the surrounding hills. You can get to the top on one of the many hiking routes or with the Hochfelln railway.
The village is surrounded by wooded hills and meadows with walking and hiking routes, and in winter skiing. You can walk, among others to the Wasserwandl Waterfall. In summer, Bergen also has an outdoor swimming pool with a beach and recreation areas.
In Bergen, traditional Alpine architecture has been preserved, with houses covered with tiled roofs and decorated with blooming flowers in summer. In the center of the village there is the church of St. Idzi, which is the most important monument in the area.
