The baroque temple dedicated to the patron of Alpine farmers was established in 1697-1698. The biggest religious ceremony is the annual pilgrimage of the faithful taking place on the first Saturday after August 24. The church is also a destination for tourist trips - it can be reached via the Königssee lake or a hiking trail.
