Humble is a small town on the island of Langeland. There is a historic, medieval church, and on the outskirts, a stone tomb from 4,000 years ago.
During the Middle Ages, Humble was a small settlement whose inhabitants were engaged in agriculture and fishing. It gained greater importance only in the 19th century, becoming a local trade center. To this day, it has retained its small-town character with low-rise buildings and lots of greenery.
Langeland was inhabited since prehistoric times. On the outskirts of Humble, you can visit King Humbles' Tomb. It is a stone structure covered with a mound. One of the burial chambers, covered with huge boulders, has survived to this day.
Another attraction of the Humble are the local landscapes. There is the Tryggelev Nor area near the city. it is a former bay now separated from the sea by a spit. There are lakes, swamps and backwaters where birds nest. It is also not far from here to the picturesque Ristinge Cliff, at the foot of which is the Ristinge beach.
