Zoological Museum Kiel

The Zoological Museum was founded by naturalist Karl Möbius and is part of the University of Kiel. The exhibitions present systematics, evolution, tropical and German fauna, ecology of butterflies, as well as the history of zoology. Many exhibits come from nineteenth and twentieth century scientific expeditions, including the first German expedition to the South Pole (1901-1903).
