One of the four surviving U-Boats, the most famous submarines of World War II, has been a museum since 1971 (after the original appearance and equipment have been restored). After the war, U-995 was incorporated into the Norwegian fleet. In 1962, the U-Boat decommissioned and intended for scrap metal, the Germans bought back for a symbolic brand.
