The history of the garden began in 1825, when the private park of the tobacco producer, Abraham Christian Brauer, was established here. Currently, around 250 species of herbaceous plants and many monumental tree specimens are cultivated on the area of 2.5 ha, including the oldest in the Chinese metasquestion in Europe.
