Wolfenschiessen is a tourist destination in the Bernese Alps. It is dominated by the Titlis peak, on the slopes of which there is a large ski resort.

The village was founded in the Middle Ages, and its oldest monument is the Church of St. Mary, which dates back to the thirteenth century. In the eighteenth century it received a baroque interior. Many traditional alpine wooden houses with carved balconies and sloping roofs have also been preserved in Wolfenschiessen.

Today, Wolfenschiessen is primarily a destination for winter skiing in the Titlis ski area and in summer for mountain hikers. There are several cable cars and lifts in the area, such as the Titlis Engelberg cable car, the Xpress Trübsee cable car and the Rotair Stand-Titlis cable car, which in winter provide skiers with access to the slopes, and in summer they facilitate access to higher slopes and viewpoints.
