Zurich Zoo

The zoological park was established in 1929, after the city received two lions as a gift. Initially, the zoo consisted of several main buildings, such as an aviary, terrarium, aquariums or monkey cages. Currently, about 2,200 animals from over 380 species live in the zoo. Work is also underway to create relevant ecosystems.
