Interlaken is a small tourist town located near Bern, between the lakes Brienzersee and Thunersee. It is a very good starting point to explore the Bernese Alps with their most famous peaks Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

The Interlaken center is a picturesque promenade with wooden and stone buildings characteristic of Alpine resorts. You can see villas that still serve as small guesthouses and cafes. The pedestrian zone also has many stores with items such as watches, jewelry and chocolate.
Interlaken is also a popular paragliding center. Hang-gliders starting from the surrounding hills land on a large meadow located in the center of the town.
