Fieschertal is a small alpine village situated below the Jungfraujoch Pass, which is almost 3,500 meters above sea level. There are several attractive tourist places in its area, including the station of the highest cog railway in the Alps.

The village is primarily a tourist center and a base for people who walk on the surrounding trails in summer and go skiing in winter. It has retained its intimate character, so it is perfect for people looking for peace and quiet.

The most important attractions of the Fieschertal are centered around the Jungfraujoch pass. You can get here by the cogwheel railway Berner Oberland. The Spfinx astronomical observatory with the Sphinx observation deck stands here. There is also the Alpine Sensation audiovisual room, where shows about Alpine nature and the history of the area are held. In the glacier grotto next to the observatory there is the Ice Palace with an exhibition of ice sculptures, and all attractions are connected by the Sphinx Tunnel.

The surroundings of the Fieschertal are perfect for hiking in the mountains. There are routes of varying difficulty here. Some of them, such as those leading through the Aletsch Glacier, are best approached with a guide.
