LAUTERBRUNNENSwitzerland
Staubbachfall waterfall
Local name: Staubbachfall Wasserfall
A picturesque waterfall descends from a cliff on the right side of the Lauterbrunnen valley. It is 299 meters high, making it the tallest single cascade waterfall in Switzerland. It is fed with water from melting snow from the peaks of Bietenhorn and Wyssbirg, so it is best to visit it in late spring or early summer. The views are the most spectacular then, and the warm weather is perfect for wandering around.
