San Marino is the capital of the state of the same name, picturesquely situated on the Monte Titano Hill, from which you can admire vast panoramas reaching the Italian coast. A beautiful medieval old town has been preserved here, which is now entered on the UNESCO list.
The foundation of the city is considered to be the founding of a Christian community in 301 by St. Maryna. Today on the site of his grave stands the Basilica of St. Maryna, and he is the city's patron.
