The most important square of Ravenna, formed in the second half of the 15th century during the great reconstruction of the city, which was undertaken by the Venetians. His symbols are two columns with statues of lions of St. Mark, symbols of Venice. Around the square there are historic tenement houses, including some with features of late Venetian Gothic. There are numerous cafes and restaurants on their ground floors.
