ŁEBA tourist attractions

Łeba is a holiday resort and a popular seaside bathing area. Due to its location, it can also be an excellent base for trips to moving dunes in the Słowiński National Park.

Until the mid-16th century, Łeba was located in a slightly different place, and the river of the same name flowing through the settlement had its bed shifted by about one and a half kilometers. After a great storm that destroyed the so-called Stara Łeba and changed the course of the river, the town was rebuilt in a new area. Only a 17th-century half-timbered church and a few fishermen's houses have survived to this day.

Today's buildings are mainly pensions, holiday homes and houses for rent. The main attraction of Łeba is the wide, sandy Western Beach and the Beach in Łeba. Both beach and water equipment can be rented. There are also kitesurfing schools, because the winds blowing in this area are perfect for this sport.

The seaside attractions of Łeba also include the port where fishing boats and cruise ships are moored. You can go on a cruise on a stylized ship with crew dressed as pirates, or choose a traditional cutter or a small ship. There are many fryers and pubs by the port, where you can spend a pleasant evening.

Due to the recreational nature of the village, there are also many attractions dedicated to families. One of the largest labyrinths made of shrubs in Poland, the Park Łeba Labyrinth, stands out. You can also visit the Delfin House aquarium, the Gingerbread House upside down, the Butterfly Museum and the Illuzeum.

The Słowiński National Park and the so-called wandering dunes begin just outside the town. It is a large, sandy area with considerable height differences for a place right by the sea. Walking routes have been marked out through the dunes, and in the park you can also visit the observation tower, coastal lakes formed by the closure of the former bays by spits and the open-air museum of the Slovinian village in Kluki.
