Słowiński National Park

Local name: Słowiński Park Narodowy

The park was entered in the list of UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the areas protected by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. The most important attractions in the park are dunes. It also consists of the biggest area of a moving sand in Middle Europe. The highest moving dunes reach up to 40m.

Słowiński National Park covers an area of 32 744ha and is located in the middle part of the Polish coast in Pomeranian Voivodeship. Apart from dunes, its characteristic features are lakes (especially Łebsko Lake - third the biggest lake in Poland), swamps, mires, meadows, and forests. The park has over 170km of walking and bike tracks and is opened for tourists from dawn to dusk for the entire year.
