The Butterfly Museum in Łeba presents part of a private, family collection. The second part is in Władysławowo. The permanent exhibition of the museum consists of over 100 entomological display cases, in which visitors can admire over 4,000 species of butterflies and many other insects. The specimens come from almost all over the world, and each of them has a description that includes the most important characteristics.
The collection was created gradually from 1937. In addition to butterflies, the exhibition also features other insects such as beetles, bedbugs and spider mites and a whole cross-section of insects found in Poland. An interactive test has been prepared for the youngest visitors - so the museum also has an educational role. You can also find a souvenir shop related to entomology and even buy some butterflies (of course not exhibits).
