Veere is a small, picturesque town with a rich harbor past. has a nice development with medieval and renaissance tenement houses and offers tourists many opportunities to spend their free time.

Currently, Veere is one of the most visited cities in the province of Zealand. Its beauty primarily contributes to this. In the past, the city had direct access to the sea and traded mainly with Scotland. Many Scottish merchants settled here, which is visible in the local buildings, which are closer to the style prevailing in the Islands than in the Netherlands. The center is adorned with a 700-year-old church, a windmill and houses with decorated gables.

In 1961, after the disastrous flood to the entire area, the road to the sea was closed with a dam. The former port city has turned into a tourist center. While exploring Veere, you can visit the Terra Maris Natural History Museum surrounded by a picturesque landscaped park, step out to the Hoge Hil viewing platform overlooking the coast, and swim along the former harbor canal. The biggest attraction of Veere is the Neeltje Jans Delta Park with an aquarium and swimming pools where they live, among others sea lions.
