St Julian's is a popular resort in the east of Malta. It lies on the picturesque Spinola Bay and is known both among sunbathers and divers, who in the area can find many undersea grottos and tunnels, as well as specially sunken shipwrecks.

The town began to develop as a resort in the interwar period. Earlier it was a small fishing village with a port for small boats, and its oldest monument is an observation tower built by the Knights of St. John in the mid-seventeenth century.

St Julian's is today, above all, a fashionable holiday resort with nice, well-developed beaches, water equipment rentals and diving schools. It is especially popular with younger tourists due to its numerous entertainment options. In the Paceville district of the clubs there is party until the morning.

Bars also operate on the beaches and promenade that connects St Julian's with Sliema. Boat trips around the bay and trips to coastal caves are also popular pastimes.
