Litochoro is a tourist town at the foot of Mount Olympus, near the Olympic Riviera. Due to its location between the mountains and the sea, it is a perfect vacation spot for people who like active tourism.
The village is located at an altitude of approx. 300 m above sea level and is a good starting point for people who want to climb the top of Mount Olympus. It is surrounded by the Olympus National Park, and in addition to the summit, the picturesque Enipeas Gorge is also a popular destination for excursions.
The center of Litochoro is built up with stone, low houses covered with tiles, typical of Greek Macedonian. There are a lot of restaurants and taverns here, as well as guesthouses and apartments for rent. Between the houses you can see several churches and chapels, some of which are open to tourists.

Thanks to their closeness, it is possible to combine a holiday in the mountains with attractions provided by seaside resorts.
