Radolfzell is a historic town on Lake Constance and a small thermal spa. There are summer open-air swimming pools here, and in the Mettnau district there are also hydrotherapy centers.
The history of the city dates back to the 9th century, when it belonged to the Reichenau monastery. In later centuries it came under the rule of the Habsburgs and was strongly associated with Austria. The city center has retained its historical character, and its most important monument is the Cathedral of Our Lady. The 15th-century building was rebuilt in the 18th century, creating its magnificent late-baroque interior.
The attractions of Radolfzell are mainly concentrated around the lake. There is a Mettenau beach with a bathing area and a water equipment rental. Mettenau also offers thermal baths as well as spa and wellness treatments. On the other hand, the city's surroundings are conducive to hiking, and the dense network of routes allows you to spend time actively.
